Data deletion instructions

This page explains how to ask for information about you to be deleted from the Arrow Group Consulting marketing platform, and what happens when you do.

Last updated

In short

  • A contact, a form or an application: ask the organization you gave your details to, or reply to an email it sent you through the platform.
  • Facebook and Instagram: an agency admin presses Disconnect in the platform. Every stored Meta access token is deleted at once.
  • A sign-in account: an agency admin removes it from the Team page.

If you gave your details to one of our clients

This is for you if you filled in a form, joined a mailing list, placed an order or sent an application to an organization that uses the platform.

  1. Ask the organization you gave your details to. You can also reply to an email that organization sent you through the platform.
  2. Say which organization it is about, and give the email address or phone number you used. That is how the right record is found.
  3. We may ask a question or two to check that the request really comes from you.
  4. A person on the organization’s team, or one of us, then deletes the record. There is no automatic button. A person carries out each request, and some of the things below have no button at all and are removed by hand.

What deleting your record removes

  • your name, email address, phone number and the other details in your contact record;
  • the notes the team wrote about you;
  • the list of emails and text messages queued for you or sent to you;
  • your place in any follow-up pipeline and in any automatic email series.

What you need to ask for by name

Some things are not removed by deleting the contact record. If you want them gone too, say so in your request.

  • The form answers you sent, the replies you wrote, and the records of emails being delivered, opened and clicked. They stay as history. They are no longer attached to a contact record, but they can still contain your name, your email address and what you wrote.
  • The signed PDF of an application, and the ID photos sent with it. They are separate files in the organization’s files.
  • The saved draft of an application you started and never finished, the note of how far you got, and any ID photos you uploaded without submitting.

What can stay afterwards

  • If you had unsubscribed from email, had marked its email as spam, or your address had stopped working, your email address stays on that organization’s do-not-email list, so it is not emailed again by mistake. Ask for it by name if you want it removed, knowing the organization could then email you again.
  • A text-message opt-out is kept on the contact record only, so it is removed with it.
  • Deleted information can stay in Cloudflare’s database restore points for up to 30 days. After that it is gone from those too.
  • The organization may hold its own copies outside the platform, such as the alert email it received with your form answers or your application. Ask the organization about those.

Facebook and Instagram (Meta) data

The platform connects to Meta only through an agency staff member’s own Facebook login. It reads results for the Facebook Pages and Instagram accounts our clients have asked us to look after. It holds nothing about followers, or about the people who react to or comment on a post.

Remove the connection

An agency admin does this.

  1. Sign in to the platform and open the agency’s settings.
  2. In the Meta panel, press Disconnect and confirm.
  3. Every stored Meta access token is deleted at once, and the platform stops reading from Meta.

You can also remove the app in your Facebook account’s settings, under Business integrations or Apps and websites. That withdraws the permission on Meta’s side.

Remove the numbers already collected

Disconnect does not remove what was collected before. What stays: the post results and follower totals, the names and ids of the Pages and Instagram accounts, and the name and Meta user id of the staff member who connected.

To have those removed, ask us and say which Page or Instagram account it is about. A client can ask through its usual contact at the agency. A person at the agency then removes them.

If you sign in to the platform

Ask an agency admin to remove your account from the Team page. An admin of your own organization can pass the request on. That takes away your sign-in. The work you did in the platform stays with the organization, and your name or email address stays on the records of what you did, such as notes you wrote.

Website visit records

Visit records collected by the tracking tag are not tied to your name, your email address or your contact record. So we cannot pick out “your” visits to delete them. You can stop future collection by turning on “Do Not Track” in your browser. You can remove the visitor id by clearing your browser’s stored data for that website.

What we cannot delete for you

  • Emails that have already been delivered to your inbox.
  • Information the organization holds in its own systems.
  • Information that Meta, Square, Wix or another company holds in its own right. Ask that company.

How to reach us

If your question is about what one organization holds about you, that organization is the quickest place to ask. You can also reply to an email that organization sent you through the platform: your reply goes to that organization.
